Did you know that 1 in 5 early childhood educators in our state has no health coverage? Child care is one of the most important professions in our state, yet also one of the most likely to be in the coverage gap.

In this new video blog, three child care providers talk about their experiences living in North Carolina’s coverage gap:

Nearly 200 child care providers sent this letter to state legislators in June asking them to expand Medicaid so that every early childhood teacher can get the care they need. As state legislators re-convene in Raleigh this week, early educators are among the folks watching most closely.

Take Action:  Let your legislators know how important expanding Medicaid is for our state’s children & their caregivers.
