Action for Children North Carolina is proud to host community conversation on the state of child well-being across the state, entitled Focus on the Children Town Halls.
Started last year, the regional town hall meetings are a great way opportunity for advocates, partners and the general public to connect with Action for Children and discuss issues facing children in their community.
As a part of the town halls, Action for Children presents data about the state of child well-being in each community. The numbers tell a story, give measure for how much progress has been made and set the stage for how to move forward in ways to improve children’s health, education, safety and economic security. Action for Children then discusses the legislative landscape at the General Assembly and gives particulars on key policy proposals that will affect children.
Action for Children has held Focus on the Children Town Hall’s in Northeastern North Carolina, Goldsboro and is hosting its next one on March 1, 2013, in Durham. Please come join the community conversation at a Focus on the Children Town Hall near you as we work together to improve outcomes for children from Murphy to Manteo!
