As our state’s children and families continue to face the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important for the North Carolina General Assembly to prioritize investments in early childhood education, health, child welfare, and more that help kids survive and thrive now and in the future.
NC Child’s 2021 policy priorities support an equitable response to and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic that will offer relief to children and families in our state. We will continue to advocate with federal and state leaders for funding and policy that put struggling families at the center of relief efforts.
NC Child’s stakeholders helped us develop a legislative agenda for 2021 that lifts up some key priorities from each of our focus areas: Early Childhood Education, Children’s Health, Family Economic Security, and Child Welfare.
